HOW WE WORK
Five steps and you always know which one you are in
Most of what goes wrong in a project, goes wrong early, in decisions made without the right information. This is the order I work in and what you can expect from each stage.

01
Consultation
We talk it through on site or over a set of plans. The more you can tell me, the better I understand what you need, and the closer the design gets to your vision. Bring the look and feel you are after, and the details of the space: the timber floors, the charcoal tones, where the windows are.
What you leave with
A clear sense of what is possible in the space, and a realistic budget range

02
Design and quotation
I present a considered design and a detailed, itemised quotation. Every line is priced separately so you can see exactly where the money goes and adjust before you commit. The plans are presented to you, not handed over. They remain the property of Harewood until you sign and pay, and are released to you then.
What you leave with
A clear picture of the design and a quote you can actually read

03
Refine and specify
We work through finishes, hardware, tops and lighting together until you can picture the finished room clearly. This is the stage most projects skip, and it is the stage that prevents the expensive changes later.
What you leave with
A signed specification with nothing left to decide on site.

04
Measure and manufacture
Precise site measurements are taken once the space is ready. Materials are ordered, manufacture begins, and you get a firm installation date. I stay in contact with your builder so the cabinetry lands when the room is ready for it.
What you leave with
A date, and no surprises before it.

05
Install and hand over
Your cabinetry is installed by skilled fitters, adjusted properly, and checked before I hand it over. Anything that is not right gets fixed. Then the room is yours.
What you leave with
A finished kitchen and someone to call if anything moves.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK
FAQ
From signed quotation to installation, allow eight to twelve weeks depending on finishes and hardware lead times. Doors and windows are quoted on their own timeline. I will give you a specific timeline with your quote.
It depends entirely on size, materials and hardware, and I would rather give you a real number than a range that turns out to be wrong. First two meets/ Consultation cost nothing. Once the plan and quote are presented a commitment is require from the client to continue with the process and go in to detail
Yes, across the Western Cape. (ratio and travel terms to confirm)
Start with a conversation, not a quote.
The first meeting costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Bring your plans if you have them, or just bring your questions and pictures (look and feel).
